In this course children will be introduced to various aspects of the world of architectural perception and intervention. Understanding the concepts of space, measurement and scale, comprehending the notions of stasis and motion and their role in any architectural experience, recognizing the diverse relationships between body, mind and spatial environment are paramount for children to enter the cosmos of architectural design. Learning to recall, to narrate and to represent architectural experiences and architectural design in media other than language allow for sharing and enrich the repertoire of communication. Through a series of thematically defined workshops, ranging from science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, kids are carefully and playfully introduced to architectural perception, design and representation.
